The Why! From ship Captain to Road Captain, a story of transition and self discovery.

Friends, thank you for following us on this virtual platform! This, my final year in the Navy has been incredible! After three decades in uniform, it is time to do something else. I have had two passions in life, the Navy and Motorcycling! I’m finally leaving the Navy, but I’ll keep riding until I can’t any more! And what better way can there be to wrap up my career and transition to a new life than going on an epic motorcycle trip across North America? One phase of my life comes to its natural conclusion, and another one begins. I can’t complain! I am taking this trip with true friends, and with the goal of learning what I want to be when I grow up, and also to leave the past behind, while honoring the great memories and experiences I have had!

YES! But you CAN complain! But you choose NOT TO! DO you have a book list for your travels? If you've not already read it, I'd recommend "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance!"

Read it twice! Great book! I’m not riding without a windshield though!! My bike has heated seats and I wear heated gear too!
